As one of the Latin American leaders in IT consulting and software services, Hexacta was present at CeBIT 2012. Held at the Deutsche Messe in Hannover, Germany, the biggest Exhibition Center in the world, with over 4 000 exhibitors and around 300 000 attendees, the fair has proved once more to be at the top of IT expos worldwide.

Hexacta was present in Hall 26, as part of the AL-Invest stand, together with other Latin American organizations. This was also the main hall for universities, research and innovation, which made it one of the most fun and very popular with visitors. Other outstanding themes in the remaining halls were Business Operations, ICT for the Public Sector and Digital Lifestyle.

Across the stands, visitors had the chance to get to know IT companies large and small, in the widest variety of domains, both hardware and software. Participants gained great insight into the trends of the market. They could also take part in any of the thousands of keynote talks, panels and workshops that took place in the different halls and forum areas. This year’s topics revolved around big data, business analytics, security and integration of social platforms in the enterprise world.

Another key feature were the business talks that were scheduled in advance among the participants. Programs like Future Match and Match and Meet allowed exhibitors to build specific agendas and hold business talks during the fair. According to the CeBIT end-of-show report, more than seven million talks were held.

As partner country of this edition of CeBIT, Brazil got a lot of attention, which increased the relevance of the Latin America at the fair. Events like this are an important channel for Latin American companies to establish a presence in Europe, stepping into the software services and offshoring market and becoming a well-known alternative to local or Asian partners.
