Since 1995, prior to founding Hexacta, Juan served as a consultant for McKinsey & Company in the Buenos Aires office. During this period he was mainly responsible for financial sector clients in Argentina, Brazil, Chile and Peru, with certain focus on payment methods and E-commerce.

Before working for McKinsey, Juan held a position at Citibank Spain for 4 years, where he served the Marketing and Sales areas. Prior that, he worked for IBM in Uruguay as an Information Systems Engineer.

While on Spain, Juan started up two businesses: one on the retail sector (later sold to a Belgian printing company) and the other one on the entertainment sector (later sold to a local investment group).

Juan is an Industrial Engineer graduated from the University of the Republic of Uruguay. He also holds a degree in Information Systems Analysis from the same university and an MBA from the University of California at Berkeley.
