Santiago joined Hexacta shortly after its foundation in April 2000. Before that, he worked for Pragma Consulting, Bank Rio – where he served as Methodology, Standards and Operations chief -, Citibank Argentina and Cartelco. He was also a consultant for the UNDP (United Nations Development Program), assigned to the “Administración Federal de Ingresos Públicos” (Federal Administration of Public Income).

He is a partner at Hexacta and is responsible for all processes and quality improvement in the company. Santiago also leaded many software development projects.

Santiago has a degree in Systems Analysis from the University of Buenos Aires. He later pursued postgraduate studies at Carnegie Mellon University, where he obtained the Master of Software Engineering Diploma in 1993.

He was a professor for the Software Engineering Postgraduate School of the CAECE University and the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Buenos Aires. He currently teaches at the UCA postgraduate program and is a member of the Advisor Council for Software Engineering (CEIS). He is also an associate professor at the Faculty of Exact and Natural Sciences of the University of Buenos Aires, where he dictates a course on Software Engineering.

He regularly lectures at many conferences on his field and has been part of the Program Committee for various conferences on Software Engineering. At the present, he teaches for the UCA postgraduate program and is a member of the Advisor Council for Software Engineering.
