Hexacta, together with Modulo Sanitario, built a complete bathroom for a family located in Rincon de Milberg, Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Since 2015, Modulo Sanitario has built bathroom and kitchen spaces onto houses and has educated people on hygiene habits, which are fundamental for healthy development. The families they help do not have a bathroom, or if they do, it is in terrible condition. Rocío’s family had a bathroom built with a basement, walls, ceiling, openings, electrical and water installations, and artifacts (shower pan, toilet, sink, and drains).
In Argentina, around 6 million people do not have a bathroom. This means that thousands of families have to use a precarious latrine outside their homes. Therefore, developing basic hygiene habits such as washing hands or brushing teeth is almost impossible, which directly impacts people’s health and especially children’s, thereby becoming a barrier to development and integration into society.
