Hexacta has been in business since 1999. Our growth history shapes the way we do business today. We began with only four people in a small office in Argentina, with great expectations and the need to just deliver good results to get to the next day.

As entrepreneurs, we overcame the dot-com bubble crash and the Argentine economic crisis of 2001, which affected many local technology ventures. We learned to never give up on our dreams, despite the circumstances.

Year after year, Hexacta grew firmly and confidently, always maintaining a strong commitment to our society and the community. Our recipe was to keep learning every day with integrity, honesty, and dedication, values upon which we built lasting and sincere relationships with customers, governments, and institutions.

We are now 800+ people distributed in the US and several Latin American innovation hubs from where we provide services to many clients around the world.

Hexacta has no boundaries; we can adapt to different realities and rely on multi-disciplinary teams to work for industries as diverse as banking and finance, telecommunications and media, retail, and natural resources.

Our main asset is our people. We grew by transmitting experience, passion, and excellence in a flexible and inspiring atmosphere. In all these years, we have repeatedly achieved a top ten ranking in the Great Place to Work survey and received several distinctions that make us proud and fuel our ambitious teamwork.

  • 2023

    Hexacta was acquired by GlobalLogic, a Hitachi Group Company and Digital Engineering Leader. The acquisition is part of a strategy to expand its offerings, and its roster of exceptional engineering talent to meet the strong market demand for digital engineering services. By joining GlobalLogic and the broader Hitachi Group ecosystem, our objective is to bring our capabilities to a far bigger market, gaining wider reach and greater scale all at once.

  • 2022

    This year was a true success for Hexacta, as we have been recognized as Outsource Partner of the Year, thanks to the outstanding customer service offered. Hexacta has been named a winner of the 2022 Excellence in Customer Service Award presented by Business Intelligence Group. This award highlights our company’s dedication to our clients.

    We strengthened our position as a leader in the Latin American software industry by opening our second innovation hub in Colombia, this time in Medellin. In 2022 we also landed in a new country, Peru. This opening represents our dedication to providing the best outsourcing software development solutions with our diverse latin collaborators.

  • 2021

    Another year of exceptional growth. We continued reaching new talent all across Latin America, growing in number of employees. Currently, we consolidate a team of 750+ highly experienced professionals. At the same time, Bogotá grew to be Hexacta's second largest office.

    The company was included in The 2021 Global Outsourcing 100 list® by the IAOP® in recognition to it’s commitment to excellence and continuous improvement in outsourcing software development services.

  • 2020

    When the pandemic hit, everybody at Hexacta moved to work virtually. There was no significant impact on the quality of our services, a testimony to the resilience of the company. This was not a coincidence, but the expression of years of preparation. And even in these dire times, we continued our expansion, now reaching talent all across Latin America. We increased our donations for community involvement and were a key participant in the development of CuidAR, the Argentine COVID 19 management app.
    Hexacta got recertified on the ISO 9001:2015 norm, and was included into the 2020 list of Top B2B Companies in Latin America by Clutch in recognition to our dedication to customer satisfaction and commitment to producing high-quality results. We were also named as the Best Nearshore Software Company by South America Business Awards.

  • 2019

    Opening borders

    Hexacta landed in Bogotá, Colombia, an important market in the region. Hexacta was granted with the Golden Sadosky award for its continuous contribution to the software industry in Argentina. We also won the Sadosky Quality Award.

  • 2018

    A great year to consolidate Hexacta in the region. For second year in a row we were included among the 100 best outsourcing companies in the world by the IAOP®. Along with this, we opened a new office in Seattle Area (United States), leaded by Javier López de Lagar, Partner and Head of US Operations. Another great milestone was the opening of one development center in Maracaibo (Venezuela) and two more in Salta and Córdoba (Argentina).

  • 2015

    In a pivotal year, Hexacta celebrates 15 years developing software of excellence. We are ranked #1 among the top software companies in Argentina by GPTW, the Great Place to Work survey! We are 400+ and counting. With 40+ ongoing projects, our Buenos Aires office starts to become too small for us, so we open a second office in the city, taking the number of development centers to a total of 7.

  • 2014

    We crossed the limits,
    the universe is infinite

    Our client, ARSAT, develops and launches the first geostationary Argentine telecommunications satellite. Argentina ranks among the select group of 8 members worldwide with the ability to build and put into orbit a satellite. We happily receive an Honorable Mention Award from WITSA (World Information Technology and Services Alliance) for the DANE Project and the Merit Award from CESSI for the GEMA Project.

  • 2013

    Hexacta is awarded the prestigious European Seal of E-Excellence. This award is given every year by the Forum of E-Excellence and its partners, a group of IT industry associations representing many European countries. The European Seal of E-Excellence acknowledges innovation in products and services, and the marketing practices to promote them. Later, in the annual Sadosky Awards, the Software and Information Services Chamber of Argentina (CESSI, after its acronym in Spanish) gives Hexacta the Business Achievement Award.

  • 2012

    IT Knowledge for everyone

    Hexacta Labs, an open program where college students are trained for free by our experts, is born in our Buenos Aires headquarters. This was only the beginning, since this program would expand to three other cities, continuing up until today with increased annual student enrollment. By mid-year, the family is enlarged and we open a new office in La Plata.

  • 2011

    Earlier in the year, we grow to be more than 200 employees. Projections for Hexacta continue to be good and we decide to move before the end of the year to one of the most beautiful neighborhoods of Buenos Aires. The building, a more spacious and modern one, surprises the team with its modern facilities and vibrant colors and comfortable design.

  • 2010

    On the podium of the best

    We reach #2 place on the ranking of the best companies to work for with over 200 employees. The path that we started 10 years before continues, we are better, we have more desire and we continue to grow. In addition, we obtained the Scrum Alliance certification (Register Education Provider – REP), which positions us as trainers and enabled us to issue CSD (Certified Scrum Developer) certification courses for developers.

  • 2009

    Through the Great Recession, we prove to be resilient once again to the negative external effects of the economy. Even under extreme financial distress, our clients value the software excellence and competitive rates of our 5 offices operating in several strategic points in Latin America. The CMM model is superseded by the CMMI model and we are assessed at level 3 of this new model, maintaining our quality commitment and regional leadership. We also add a new recognition award to our display as we are named the Best IT Company in Argentina - Sadosky Award 2009.

  • 2008

    Hexacta lands on a new continent: Africa. The French conglomerate Bolloré, a company with presence in over 40 countries and employing over 28,000 people around the world, relies on us for their expansion into the African continent. We add a new team across the Rio de la Plata, inaugurating our Montevideo office in Uruguay.

    Social networks, the beginning

    Social networks change the profile of users who become the real content generators. Companies and businesses are facing a new challenge: to understand what's new in this user. Hexacta is only 7 years old, but has already placed #6 in the local ranking of the Great Place to Work awards. We keep adding talent, this year we open a fourth office, located in Bahía Blanca.

  • 2006

    As one of the most important Argentine software companies, we start our geographical expansion in the country to tap into the most talented engineers wherever they are. Our first development center outside of Buenos Aires opens in the city of Paraná, the capital of Entre Rios province.

  • 2005

    The mobile starts to boom. Hexacta is at the forefront, with a specialized team in mobile development, trained in the latest technologies. In just two years, we reach a high maturity level of the CMM model, being assessed at CMM level 4.

  • 2004

    We are a team of 45 people and we share the same motto "be the best”. As part of our expansion into the US, we sign Axioma Inc. as a client. The Manhattan based company is a leader in the financial industry, providing factor-based risk models and portfolio construction tools for equity investors.

  • 2003

    Hexacta signs its first big project in France with Sodexo, a large multinational with over 300,000 employees in 80 countries. The project covers several continents in countries like the Philippines, Indonesia, UK, Russia, Tunisia and Vietnam. We begin a relationship that lasts to this day, growing every year with new projects. We are the first Argentine company to be assessed at level 3 of Carnegie Mellon’s CMM model (Capability Maturity Model). This is a landmark in Argentine quality software development and positions Hexacta at the top of the industry in the region.
    This year we certify as CMM3 (Capability Maturity Model).

  • 2002

    Never give up

    Argentina’s economic crisis presents an enormous challenge for our local business. We overcome this adverse situation by tapping the international markets and increasing our exports to Spain and Brazil. We start our first project in the US, for Leapfrog Enterprises Inc. in the San Francisco Bay Area. We partner with Microsoft by specializing in Custom Development Solutions, Information Worker Solutions, Mobility Solutions and Data Management Solutions. The partnership has grown strongly until today, since we are still a Microsoft Gold Partner.

  • 2001

    Our dream begins to fulfill and we transform it into new goals. We endeavor into a new market and open an office in São Paulo. Our client roaster grows impressively. Among others, we now work for such marquee clients as Shell, Zurich Financial Services and BankBoston.

  • 2000

    New millennium

    The millennium begins and the world renews its ideas. Revolutionizing minds push to break new frontiers and seek to turn new dreams into realities... We have one: "Develop excellent software for the world". We obtain our first client, Argentina's leading Internet service company.
