For the first time in its history, the International Conference on Software Engineering (ICSE) is held in Latin America. Until next May 28th, experts and researchers of the software industry gather in this event, of which Hexacta is a proud supporter.
All everyone talks about these days in Buenos Aires is software. The reason? Hosting –for the first time in Latin America– the 39th edition of the International Conference on Software Engineering (ICSE), which brings together experts, researchers, professionals and the entire community of software engineering.
The event, which ends on Sunday May 28th and where Hexacta participates as a sponsor, is a stage where the participants discuss, analyze and share research in the field of software engineering, as well as practices, innovations, trends, and experiences.
Thus, during this week, software industry experts attend thematic sessions with presentations of research papers, 90-minute lectures that work as mini-courses that introduce topics, workshops, demonstrations and conferences ranging from topics such as mobile software, data mining in software repositories and open source, to emerging topics in SE Education, Teaching Agile, Games and Gamification, Requirements for software systems in society, among others.
Thanks to this event, new and good practices will be analyzed.
ICSE is traditionally sponsored by the two leading global computing and engineering institutions: the Association for Computer Machinery (ACM) and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE-Computer Society).
Furthermore, for this edition, the conference has the support of the Argentine Society of Informatics (SADIO), the National Council of Scientific and Technical Research (CONICET), as well as leading global and local companies such as Hexacta.
Buenos Aires city, well-known as one of the most important business centers of the region and an important technological hub, is the epicenter of a completely unique event, which represents “an opportunity to show the scientist and industrial activity that Argentina has in the software field”, Said Sebastián Uchitel, from CONICET, to the local media.
